Air resistance is neglected. The vertical motion does not depend on the horizontal one: vₓ stays constant, while v_y changes as in free fall. Problems often take g = 10 m/s² (more precisely g ≈ 9.8 m/s²). The «Horizontally» and «Compare» modes are marked «extra»: check whether they are in your syllabus.
